BIPOwer began as a photoshoot in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton), showcasing the beauty and strength of BIPOC women. From that initial project, a larger vision emerged—to go beyond the images and share the personal stories and experiences of these six inspiring models navigating life as marginalized individuals. Through short, powerful interviews, the BIPOwer team captured each woman’s unique journey, sparking the idea to share their voices with the broader community.

The BIPOwer event soon blossomed into something extraordinary. Held in collaboration with women and gender non-conforming individuals, the event provided a vibrant platform for local BIPOC artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their work and share their stories. We were honored to celebrate Edmonton’s rich diversity, with heartfelt thanks to the attendees and participants who helped make BIPOwer an impactful experience.
